Wyangala Bowling Club’s plans
Firstly, the Bowling Club will be hosting The Biggest Morning Tea Bowling Day for Mums on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 14.
The event will start at 11am and mothers get to play for free to celebrate their special day.
Adult tickets are $5 and children $2.
Lunch will be provided on the day which will be $7 for adults and $3 for children.
There will also be prizes and special games to keep the kids amused.
Wyangala Country Club’s plans
It will then be the Country Club’s turn, with the team putting their annual Biggest Morning Tea event on again this year on Thursday, May 18 at 9.30am.
There will be bingo, raffles and a meal as the ladies all bring their own plate.
The team have also been busy selling raffle tickets in Cowra, out the front of Woolworths with prizes and firewood up for grabs.
New defibrillator
In other news, the Wyangala Country Club recently celebrated the installation of a defibrillator for the club, thanks to a donation from Boorowa Community Bank.
Elaine Hopkins and Sue Sculthorpe from Wyangala Country Club said staff and a number of members are now fully trained in how to use the device.
“We were given a full demonstration on how to use the defibrillator,” Elaine said.
“It also incorporated a full first aid class so we can help anyone who might be choking, bleeding and how to perform CPR.
“Bar staff attended as well as patrons. The Bendigo Bank came to our rescue.”
The community also contributed to the defibrillator.
