Cowra Magpies under 18s scored a topsy turvy victory at Oberon on Saturday. Cowra won the match 28-22 after trailing 14-12 at half-time.

Second rower Jahkai Nelligen was first to get over the paint and when Noah Ryan converted the Magpies led 6-0.
Oberon retaliated with two tries of their own to lead 10-6.
Cowra hit the front again when centre Jared Burns was next to score, Noah converted Cowra to 12-10.
Oberon were able to go into the sheds leading when they scored just before the break to take a two point lead.
They were able to increase the tally to six when they scored against after the break.
The Magpies then started to mount a lot of pressure completing their sets and finding holes in the home sides tiring defence.
Fullback Mark Williams scored to narrow the gap to 18-16 Oberon’s favour.
Lock forward Toby Apps was rewarded for a busy game when he crossed for Noah to convert, Cowra leading 22-18.
Mark Williams was then able to get a double for the match and with a final conversion Cowra were able to post a match winning lead 28-18 despite Oberon crossing very late in the match.
Jared Burns was awarded players’ player.
Toby and Jahkai were some of Cowra’s best.
Elsewhere, League tag won a tight game 20-18 while first division was defeated 32-16. This weekend Cowra’s four grades take on Blayney at King George Oval.
