The grant is part of a community program to reward and recognise the important role that sporting clubs play in their local community.

“In the middle of summer it can get unbearably hot for our lawn bowlers and we need to be able to provide them with some shade and relief from the sun”, Christine Pickard, President, Gooloogong Country Club said.

“This Origin LPG grant is going to allow us to erect a cover all around the bowling green so that people can enjoy our facilities and get some relief from the sun and heat.”

The club will also feature in a television commercial for Origin LPG that will showcase the important role that LPG plays in the life of the club. 

The advertisement will be filmed shortly and will air nationally from May.

This grant is part of a community program from Origin aimed at rewarding and recognising the great work done by local sporting clubs, while also highlighting the role that LPG plays in the community.

From heating the shower at the end of the match, to cooking the snags to celebrate a big win (or commiserate a narrow loss), LPG is essential to many sporting clubs around the country.

This is especially true for teams located in rural towns, where LPG delivered to the door is often the only source of gas available.

In addition to awarding this grant, Origin LPG will be celebrating a “sports achievement of the week”, commencing in May.
