For Dana Cheeky it was awhile in the making, the two-year-old bitch was running her 24th race in heat two of the Rod Everett Memorial Maiden (310m).
She did it in style, though, breaking first from the boxes and producing an all the way victory.
A bitch by Renegade Chief and Dana Hayley, Dana Cheeky was offering massive odds of $27.70 from the four box.
The victory made it a race-to-race double for Rodney McDonald’s Dana Lodge kennels.
Dana Mezza, running in just her third race, took out heat one of the Rod Everett Memorial, finishing the 310m race in 18.31s.
Dana Mezza ($25) was coming off a third and fourth at Cowra and Temora respectively, and punters didn’t expect her to lead the field but she avoided some traffic at the first bend and broke away.
