Malicious damage
Between 1pm on March 3 and 10am on March 5 persons have trespassed and used a forklift to damage paddocks on a rural property.
Attempted theft
Between 9.40am and 3.30pm on March 2 police report an attempted theft from a motor vehicle in Macquarie Street. The vehicle was ransacked but no property was stolen.
Positive RDT
Around 8am on March 5 at Redfern Street, a 53-year-old man returned a positive RDT and will appear before Cowra Local court at a later date.
Attempted break and enter
Police are seeking assistance from the public to identify a person who was involved in an attempted break and enter at a Lachlan Street residence between 3pm and 8.30pm on March 2.
A male attempted to gain entry to the property via the rear door. He is described as Caucasian, about 1.72m tall, thin athletic build, clean shaven with scruffy dark brown hair and a rat’s tail.
A tattoo on his upper right arm and was wearing a black T-shirt with a red print, three-quarter track shorts, white joggers and a silver watch on his right wrist.
Police pursuit
Cowra police were involved in the pursuit of a Blue Ford Falcon sedan south of Cowra on the Lachlan Valley Way between 2.40pm and 2.45pm on March 2.
The vehicle had previously been reported stolen from Yass. Police made an attempt to stop the vehicle which accelerated to speeds in excess of the signposted limit.
The pursuit was terminated in Lachlan Street due to the erratic manner of driving from the driver. The vehicle was recovered in Keswick Street in the days following.
Assault police
Police report that around 2.20pm on Sunday March 5, at the vicinity of the low level bridge, police stopped a vehicle for the purpose of a Random Breath Test.
During the course of the Random Breath Test a 29 year-old Cowra woman located in the passenger seat of the vehicle became abusive towards police.
Police allege that the woman then spat at a police officer.
The woman was arrested and charged and will appear before Cowra Local Court at a later date.
Assault
Police report an assault around 8pm on March 2. A 56 year-old Billimari man was assaulted by a 38 year-old man.
The 38 year-old has been charged with assault and will appear before Cowra Local Court at a later date.
Malicious damage
Around 1pm on March 4 at a local licensed premises it is alleged that a gaming device located inside the premises was maliciously damaged. Police enquiries are continuing.
Trespass
Police are seeking any information from the public to identify two persons involved in a trespassing at a Phillips Street address between 6pm and 6.30pm on March 2, attempting to steal property from a vehicle.
The first person is described as a female aged 20 to 25 years of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander appearance, medium complexion wearing grey track pants and a black top.
The second a male aged 20 to 25 years of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander appearance wearing black trousers, a red singlet and moonboot.
