Edgar is a part of a 14-player NSW Country squad that will face off against respective country sides from the nation’s states, except Tasmania, as well as sides from Northern Territory and East Asia Pacific.
The tournament is played entirely in Twenty20 format, with up to eight matches scheduled in a single day.
This Friday, from 6pm Edgar’s NSW side will go head to head with Queensland at North Dalton Park, Towradgi, near Wollongong.
The competition is the first of its kind for the women’s game in Australia.
Following tonight’s blockbuster against Queensland, NSW Country will take on Northern Territory on Saturday afternoon, Victoria on Sunday, South Australia on Monday and Western Australia on Tuesday morning before the finals that night and Wednesday.
The NSW Country side is coached by Neil McDonald and Carolyn Sheehan.
The tournament will coincide with the Men’s Australia Country Cricket Championships also hosted by Wollongong.
