It’s not normally how hay bales are used, but some amazing artworks along the Boorowa Road have the town talking and now locals have the opportunity to make their own smaller version.

Social media has been a buzz with the pieces such as a giant Spongebob Squarepants and Stuart the Minions from the Despicable Me films.
The artworks are all in an effort for people to enter the inaugural Class T Hay Bale art competition at this year's Morongla Show.
Marlee Langfield, the Hay Bale Art Chief Steward at the show, says the idea came about from living in Canada, where hay bale art has a huge following.
"A lot of people didn't know about hay bale art. It started small but it's turned into something really big, I wasn't expecting it."
Ms Langfield first made the Minion hay bale before more works starting popping up along the highway.
"At first it was for fun and to promote the show and now people have been making them out of the kindness of their hearts," Ms Langfield said.
Whilst the large hay bales are simply too big to be transported to the show, anyone can enter the competition with a single, small decorated hay bale, with the winner being decided by popular vote.
Entry into the competition is $2 and entries close 5pm Sunday 4th October with a first prize of $50 and a second prize of $25 kindly donated by Fred Fahey Aerial Services.
Entries are to be delivered between 3pm and 5pm to Morongla Showground on Sunday 4th October.
Ms Langfield says that enthusiam around town will hopefully attract more people to the show.
"I'm so proud of my little community. I think it can put Morongla on the map and put the Morongla show on the Cowra calendar."
The Morongla Show will be held on Monday 5th October with activities kicking off at 11am. Adults $6, children $2 and children under 6 are free.
A schedule can be found online, on the Morongla Show Facebook page or at the Cowra Craft Shop.
