The workshops were popular for kids of all ages.
Cody McAatney enjoyed drawing Sonic the Hedgehog most, while his friend Elijah Austin preferred to draw the pink panther.
"I love drawing and mum saw this workshop in the newspaper and suggested it.
"I am glad she pointed it out for me," said Elijah.
The class were pleased with the variety of cartoons they were shown, including favourites from Adventure Time, Micky Mouse, and SEGA classic Sonic.
Mr Brisson worked well with the students explaining all images are made by a series of regular shapes.
"What shapes are on my face," he asked the class.
"A triangle nose," said one girl.
"A circle," said another.
"That is right, and what about my lips, what shape could we use for those?" the cartoonist asked.
The students looked around before giving up.
"Well I would use a rectangle," he offered which got the conversation rolling once again.
The workshops were held on Wednesday January 8 and Thursday January 9 in cooperation with Cowra Shire Council and Toon Creations, Bondi.
