About the role

This role needs to understand the whole data & analytics eco-system, and continually strive to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operations - while continually driving a culture of continuous improvement and change. This includes the testing and learning of new techniques, toolsets, and methodologies, and working with the other Data leaders, CTO group and SE group to drive collaboration, knowledge share and upskill.

  •  Establish the patterns and frameworks for the Operations teams to support the operations of the analytics factory - including the standards, governance and performance needs as jobs are transitioned to the support and operations teams
  •  DevOps and Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) patterns to ingest and transform data, test data and solution deployment and promote through the pipeline and monitor through environments
  • Understand the analytical tools used in a solution, including how they are represented as code, how actions taken upon data to deliver insight, and ensure that these are captured in DevOps processes
  • Closely govern the use of cloud services and environments to ensure costs are optimised and within expected budgets, including appropriate tag
  •  Run the appropriate change and governance forums and processes to ensure integrity of the analytics and data eco-system of solutions

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience supporting a technical delivery team including software developers, data engineers, data scientists, solution designers and machine learning engineers.
  • Experience working with senior business and technical stakeholders including C-suite and Group executives
  • Experience in performance management metrics, cost optimisation identification and execution, and reporting
  • Strong skills in data management technology including metadata management, data lineage and data quality tools
  • Experience with DevOps principles and tools, including
  • Agile enterprise development environments, CICD implementation, continuous testing, infrastructure as code, automation of environment deployment and automated shakeout testing.
  • Experience working with senior business and technical stakeholders including C-suite and Group executives
  • Experience in performance management metrics, cost optimisation identification and execution, and reporting
  • Strong skills in data management technology including metadata management, data lineage and data quality tools
  • Experience with DevOps principles and tools, including
