Cowra’s other side, Valleys, had the bye.
Batting first in their match against Parkes’ Royal Colts, Bowling Club set the Parkes side a target of 140 for victory, primarily on the back of their top three with openers Ross Graham (46) and Nick Berry (27) laying the platform before Ben Schofield chipped in with 26.
Colts chased down the Bowling Club total for the loss of six wickets.
In the other match Canowindra set Parkes’ Cambridge Cats 140 for the win after winning the toss and electing to bat in their match played in Canowindra.
Ben Schaefer led the way with the bat for Canowindra at the top of the order with 39.
Shane Jones did the damage with the ball taking five wickets and his side lost just four wickets in the run chase with Clinton Hawke top scoring with 42 not out.
