“I’m captain-coach so I will still be playing but I want to take a step back and focus on coaching and getting women’s soccer back in Cowra.”
The side was chasing a one goal deficit after Oberon opened the scoring in the 20th minute but an own goal before the break levelled the scores at one-all.

The men suffered a 4-1 defeat against Panorama Black following the women’s game in their season opener at Edgell Park on Sunday.
A Shaun Mortyne goal put Cowra in the lead at the 20 minute mark but back-to-back goals to Panorama gave the visitors a 2-1 lead at halftime.
The margin blew out to 4-1 by the final whistle as Panorama capitalised on their minimal amount of chances.
Mortyne up front and Mikey Howarth in defence were two of Cowra’s best.
The new sin-bin rule came into play when Will Baker showed dissent.
