The Fair is Cowra’s first opportunity to win a ham for Christmas and for the children to have a word in Santa’s ear.
This Friday from 5.30pm - 8.30pm the St Raphael’s school grounds will be filled with festive fun.
Carnival rides for all ages, cakes, crazy cups, ham wheels, fair games, food and entertainment.
The jolly old fellow, Santa, and his loyal elves will make a guest appearance between 6.30pm and 7.30pm, a gold coin donation will allow parents to capture a photographic memory.
The major raffle ‘DESTINATION ANYWHERE’ has been run in conjunction with the Christmas Fair, commencing in July with 1000 tickets on offer.
All tickets were sold out by mid October.
There will be eager ticket holders watching this space with the raffle winner to be drawn at 7pm, the lucky winner receiving a $5000 travel voucher.
The St Raphael’ s Catholic School Parents and Friends Association have undertaken the mammoth task of renovating the Kindergarten to Year 6 playground.
A project adopted in 2015, which has slowly started to evolve.
Summer 2017 saw the transformation of the Kindergarten courtyard with the installation of artificial turf, where students participate in passive exercise routines.
Close to completion is the establishment of an outdoor learning area incorporating musical pieces, a raised garden bed, a permanent chicken coup and natural materials.
The next stages of the playground redevelopment involve the resurfacing.
This comes at a substantial cost and is planned to be undertaken at the end of Term 1 2018.
Funds raised at the Fair will assist both with the playground renovation and continue to support of other school activities.
Bring the whole family along for an evening of fun and festivity.
