The man, who was wearing a black top, shorts and a white cap at the time, is alleged to have stolen a vacuum cleaner from a retail store on Kendal Street. Police allege the man left the store without paying.
Police reported the incident happened between 9.15am and 9.40am. The person of interest possibly has a tattoo on his calf muscle.
Inquiries into the matter were continuing last week.
- Break and enter
A break and enter occurred on Pridham Street between 11.30pm on November 5 and 7am on November 6. A handbag, wallet and contents were stolen.
