Books have been collected from donations during the past six months and put on display in a huge variety of categories including academics, crime, sport, science, history and many, many more.
Organiser Bruce Pietsch said its common to see people visit multiple times throughout the three day sale, purchasing a number books each visit.
“What we end up with here is what you can read in bed. That’s the standard we have,” Mr Pietsch said of the books on sale.
“They come in various qualities. Sometimes they come in shiny and you just put a sticker on them or sometimes they come in from a garage and can be quite dusty so we clean them up and if they do clean up okay we’ll put them out for sale.
“We have a book to cater for everyone’s interest,” he added.
Organisers hope to sell a large quantity.
Unsold books will be kept until the next fair in six months or donated to lifeline, Mr Pietsch said.
The sale started Thursday and ends Saturday.
