Standings following Saturday’s results in round five Lachlan Premier Competition action will give an indication of how each side is travelling in the new-look competition.

Bowling Club will look to secure a top two spot when it takes on Parkes Colts at Holman Oval.

Both sides have only suffered defeats against the undefeated Cambridge Cats, so the contest shapes a close one which will determine second place on the ladder.

Bowling Club is coming off a thumping 10 wicket win against Canowindra last week while a 39-run victory against Valleys will give Colts confidence.

In the competition’s other match, Canowindra is desperate to open its account however face a tough task in travelling to Woodward Oval where they meet Cambridge.

Undefeated through four rounds, the Cats loom as favourites and will be looking to strengthen its hold at the top of the tree.

Bowling Club v Parkes Colts at Holman Oval, Cambridge Cats v Canowindra at Woodward Oval.

Second grade:

Canowindra v Valleys at Canowindra, Morongla v Grenfell, Cowboys v Bowling Club.
