Trained by Rodney McDonald, Dixie The Weapon is one of 12 runners from Dana Lodge set to line up in the Cowra Greyhound Racing Club’s first night meeting of the summer.
The three-year-old bitch of 27 starts scored a win at Bathurst over 450m on October 16, however slipped outside the placings in her most recent appearances at Dubbo, Bulli and Richmond, which were all over 400m.
The added distance should help Dixie The Weapon return to the winner’s circle and would chalk up her fourth career victory in the process.
However, drawing box five hasn’t favoured the Dana Lodge bitch who is yet to register a win in the yellow rug from six attempts.
Eleven of her kennelmates are also set to be in action throughout the six race program.
Racing starts from 7.30pm with the last at 8.45pm.
