Octane will be putting his ICW Central West Championship up against the ICW World Heavyweight Championship held by 19-year wrestling veteran Rob Mezzenger.
This means one of these two men will walk out holding both prestigious belts. To prepare for what could be the biggest battle of High Octane`s life, he has kicked his training into high gear. The local wrestler has been training under the watchful eye of local boxing coach Hakon ‘’Hawk’’ Berg who runs boxing classes at the Cowra PCYC.
“The training is taking my fitness from strength to strength,” Octane explained.
“I’m losing girth around the midsection and building a lot of muscle. In terms of training that is available in Cowra it’s the best for keeping me in ring shape.”
As well as the huge title versus title match, there will be a variety of other matches held on the night, including a four-way match pitting Xander Bolt, Alex Irvine, Dan Archer and Adrian Axton against each other in what should be a fast-paced, high flying affair.
The winner will go on to face the insane Super Crimson Mask for the 2017 Alan Lanham Memorial Championship later in the night.
The despised and outspoken villain from Canberra Devious Dave will have to put up or shut up against the legendary and incredibly popular ‘’Birdman’’ Phil Picasso. ICW`s warring factions “The Resistance” and “Strike Team Alpha” are sure to butt heads in some fashion and the man from yesteryear Doc Archer will face John Raymond and Chris Shadows in a triple threat match.
One of the stars of hit TV series “Housos” and possibly Australia`s top female wrestler Niki Nitro will take on the athletic and enthusiastic Nyx Jade in one of the night’s biggest attractions. ICW`s first Hall of Famer Rex will also be appearing on the show.
Western Warfare 3 will be suitable entertainment for the whole family and audience members will be able to meet with the wrestlers after the show. The event is alcohol free and is a safe and inclusive environment for everyone. Cowra Mayor Bill West will present the winner of the title versus title match with championship belts.
James ‘’High Octane’’ Lanham would like to thank sponsors Cowra Council, Cowra Carpet Cleaning and LFE Cowra Breakout. Riding for the Disabled Cowra will be running the canteen.
Doors open at 5.30pm, show starts 6pm. Tickets are available for $12 at the LFE Cowra Breakout Op-shop or at the door on the night for $15. Under 5s are free, no eftpos.
