A driver of a motor vehicle is in the process of being airlifted to Orange Hospital following a crash on the Lachlan Valley Way on Thursday afternoon.

An accident was reported at 2.50pm involving a motor vehicle and a truck. Police believe one of the drivers to be an 80-year-old man.
Police say the motor vehicle ran into the rear of the truck resulting in the driver becoming trapped.
Emergency services were dispatched and the driver was removed by ambulance rescue.
Police understand the injured person is being airlifted to Orange Hospital.
The road was closed at the Lachlan Valley Way turnoff on the Grenfell Road at 4pm. Police expect it to reopen in the near future.
Police inquiries will continue into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
