Cowra Japanese Garden Manager, Shane Budge, is expecting two to three thousand people to pass through the doors of the Garden for this weekend’s Sakura Matsuri Festival this weekend.

Mr Budge said the festival should provide a full day of entertainment with cultural activities to suit all interests.
“We’ll have Ikebana and Bonsai demonstrations, Shibori workshops, the martial arts arena as normal and tea ceremonies,” he said.
“We’ll have a number of guests including Soprano Misako Piper, Dancer Junko Hirabayashi and Singer Hiroki Ijima who is also a television presenter so we’ll have Japanese TV attending the festival as well. So I’m very excited,” he said.
Entry for the festival is $20 adult, $18 concession, $15 child or $60 for a family pass. Entry is free if you have a Friend of the Garden pass.
