This October long weekend the Wyangala Fishing Club will host the third annual Mary Beer Memorial fishing competition at Wyangala Dam.

Mary was an avid angler and much-loved member of the fishing club for many years.
Registration for the event will be held at Wyangala Country Club from 5pm to 8pm on Friday, September 29 and the cost of entry is a gold coin donation.

Anglers are reminded that it is essential to register prior to casting a line as a unique number will be issued which must be included in all your catch and release photos.
Whole fish entries are also permitted. Brag mats are available for purchase at Wyangala Country Club for $15 each.
All fish and photo entries for the competition must be received prior to 4pm on Sunday, 1 October and you can return your unique number at the same time.
The presentation of prizes will follow with the Mary Beer Memorial Shield awarded to the angler with the longest native fish.
Anglers are also reminded that it is closed season for Murray Cod so please return these to the water immediately if caught. Registration for the event will be from 5pm to 8pm on Friday, September 28.
