"The team at Cowra Tourism have been busy promoting these wonderful packages via social media such as Facebook and Instagram,” Andrew Grinter, Assistant Tourism Manager said.
“With the increased interest in the beautiful fields of Canola from the Chinese visitor market, Cowra Tourism has for the very first time starting promoting the 'Fields of Gold Tour Packages ' via Wechat.
“Wechat is the Chinese social media application that has over 963 million monthly active users and with the huge consumer base with differing ages, Cowra can potentially capture this market.”
Mr Grinter went on to say: “The paddocks of canola crops in flower are loved by locals and visitors alike. Visitors love the intense yellow of this crop and are interested in learning more about how the crop is grown and the oil produced from the seed when harvested. Cowra Tourism is passionate about promoting the Cowra region and the tours are a great way for people to see our beautiful countryside in an easy and enjoyable way”.
