A group of cyclists have banded together as the Riverina Heart Warriors to raise money for families experiencing the hardships of Congenital Heart Disease.

Their ‘Riverina Road Trip’ will leave from Griffith to Westmead on October 22, traveling from hospital to hospital on bicycles and will be stopping in Cowra on October 23.

Riverina Heart Warrior Trish Enness said her involvement was personal.

"Our families journey with CHD began when our daughter AJ, suffered a sudden cardiac arrest,” she said.

“Whilst at Westmead, we came across Griffith mum Melissa Harris and her daughter Tekia. As there is no financial assistance for CHD sufferers in the Riverina, we have started our Riverina Heart Warriors,” she said.
