Holman Place School students leave their marks with green thumbs

Students from Holman Place Public School and staff from Bunnings Cowra teamed up to plant a number of trees at the front of the school on Thursday morning.

Holman Place Public School Principal Bryce Toohey said the day was a part of a growing partnership with Bunnings Cowra, including fortnightly workshops, and credited the staff for their support.

“We’ve sort of being floating the idea of adding a hedge in the front of the school and when I spoke to Nikki at Bunnings she was more than happy to donate some hedges and their time.”

He said planting the trees would be a great way for the students to leave a legacy at the school.

Holman Place Public School would also like to thank Cowra Hire for donating equipment on the day.
