Chernco Engineering
Katrina Hodgkinson MP and Deputy Premier, John Barilaro, started their visit at Chernco Engineering to announce the instillation of a new state of the art plasma cutting system.

Ms Hodgkinson said the system was a “fantastic investment from the Nationals”.

Wyangala Sewage Scheme
Ms Hodgkinson announced the $11.4 million upgrade to the Wyangala Sewage Scheme was nearing completion.

“This is a great example of state government and local government working together to deliver reliable, affordable and sustainable sewage system for the local community,” she said.
Cowra Council Mayor, Cr Bill West said it was a great announcement that the works were nearly complete.
“It’s good news and it’s good that the project also caters for the Wyangala Waters state park,” he said.
“It was an essential build but it now provides that ability to grow.”
Cowra POW Camp
Katrina Hodgkinson MP and Deputy Premier, John Barilaro were on hand for the official opening of the new amenities block at the Cowra POW Camp.
The pair joined Mayor Cr Bill West alongside the Cowra Lions Club for the official ribbon cutting.
“It is a great day and it’s great to be here,” Katrina Hodgkinson MP said.
“This is an area of reflection and learning, where people will come from miles to learn about their Australian history,” she said.
Along with the ribbon cutting Deputy Premier Barilaro and Ms Hodgkinson also unveiled a plaque that acknowledged the Cowra Lions Club contribution to the project.
The plaque was placed before a water fountain that the Lions Club had installed as their centenary project.
Upgraded Cowra netball courts
Katrina Hodgkinson MP and Deputy Premier, John Barilaro happily opened the new upgraded Cowra Netball courts on Tuesday.
Surrounded by laughing kookaburras the pair decided against the traditional ribbon cutting and instead opted for a shoot out with some of Cowra’s young netball stars.
Ms Hodgkinson said it was thrilling to see the nation’s most played sport supported.
“I’m stunned that the Cowra Netball Association raised $35,000 that is an enormous effort for any community group,” she said.
“What we have now is the most amazing state of the art netballing facility.
“The kookaburras are laughing, they’re happy and we couldn’t be happier,” she said.
Cowra Showground pavilion kitchen
Katrina Hodgkinson MP and Deputy Premier, John Barilaro and the Cowra Show Society celebrated a belated opening of the Cowra Showground Pavilion’s new kitchen.
Ms Hodgkinson said the opening had been a longtime coming.
“There was a photo in the Cowra Guardian of Ian Armstrong, Jenny Armstrong and myself all up to our armpits in detergent in the old sink and it’s amazing to see the transformation that’s taken place,” she said.
“It’s (the pavilion) a terrific place and now it has a kitchen that is functional, so well done to the show society.”
