Seven people in the group are now employed as personal support workers at Weeroona Aged Care, Bilyara Hostel and one person is working at Gosling Creek Aged Care in Orange.
This hard-working group attended two classes a week and completed 120 hours of work placement for further development of skills.
OCTEC thanks the managers and staff at Weeroona, Bilyara and Gosling Creek for their support in buddying and mentoring our students on their work placements.
The graduates are Tia Lee Kiss, Nikkara Brennan, Ashleigh Cole, Taylor Fliedner, Kristy King, Jayden McCormick, Jessica Middleton, Lara Jade Rust and Mitchell Tamblyn.
The OCTEC trainer for the course is Mia Kurta and the OCTEC Transition to Work consultant is Sallieann Thompson.
Funding for the course is provided by Training Services, NSW.
