We hope to fill in some detail from possibilities for our overnight trip(s) in Spring, most likely at this stage to the Warrumbungles and/or Blackheath, so bring ideas and experience.
Bush walks planned for July
For July we already have walks planned to Nangar (on Sunday, July 9: Chinaman's Garden track), Zig Zag on July 16 and Weddins (on July 30: Mill Valley to Black Springs Mountain).
If you're interested, you may know someone in ULB to ask, or email to our address below.
Want to join the Upper Lachlan Bushwalkers?
Most weekend walks leave the Cowra Visitor Information Centre at 9am (8am for Zig Zag).
However, walkers are requested to contact the walk leaders a few days prior to the walk.
Membership is only $20 annually, covering insurance and ULB affiliation with Bushwalking NSW.
Cars to walks are shared, as is the cost.
Non-members 18 or older are welcome along on three walks as guests before joining.
Email upperlachlanbushwalkers@outlook.com for your interest to be passed on and responded to.
Bush walks that took place in June
Recently in June just a handful of walkers wandered around Ophir, the site of Australia's first payable gold discovery, and Boorowa on their Irish Heritage trails.
A final quote to consider:
“Taking the time to regularly remove ourselves from urban settings and spend more time in nature can greatly benefit our psychological (and physical) well-being.”
-Stanford U researchers, 2017, Proceedings of National Academy of Sciences
