Having won the second division tournament in 2016, Gambrill promoted his side to the premier league and results so far have been impressive, despite dropping two games in the latest rounds.
“Based on the results so far I think we’re worthy of a finals spot,” Gambrill said.
“The good thing is now that our fate is in our own hands. If we get the results from here we’ve set ourselves to get make a spot in the finals.”
Gambrill identified goal scoring target Toby Baker and experienced defender Matt Reed as key players for the remainder of the year.
This week, the Eagles take on Mudgee at Mudgee.
In the two side’s previous encounter, Gambrill’s troops won 7-1.
Cowra is slightly depleted with a few players unavailable but Gambrill says there’s no excuses, he expects a win.
