Police say there’s been a number of businesses including licensed premises and food outlets that have reported counterfeit $100 notes being passed.
Cowra police Inspector Adam Beard urged businesses to contact police about any banknotes they have concerns over.
“They appear to be very good copies,” Inspector Beard said.
“They’re heavier and have a slightly different feel to paper.”
Reports continued into the beginning of this week.
Anyone with information about fake notes or the person or persons involved should contact Cowra Police Station.
