The celebrations will kick off tomorrow night from 7pm with a concert by the Sydney Staff Songsters at the Cowra Baptist Church. Entry with a gold coin donation, followed by worship, celebration and a lunch on Sunday from 10am at the Salvation Army Hall.
Major Cathryn Williamson said she was keen to see the work of the Army continue in smaller communities.
“There are things we can offer both as a church and through our social work,” she said.
“The things we can offer complement other agencies in town.”
In 2027 the Salvation Army Hall will celebrate it’s 100th anniversary with Major Williamson planning to release the Cowra Salvation Army’s History book in that year.
