One of the co-directors of the Wyangala Country Club, Elaine Hopkins, said the Mother’s Day Bowling Day event raised $465 alone.
“I’m very impressed with the support, we appreciate what everyone has done for us,” she said.
The day featured locals donating money or prizes towards a number of raffles and activities such as guessing competitions and bingo to raise more funds for the cause.
“Guessing the weight of pumpkins and how many jellybeans in the jar and we are doing bingo,” Elaine said.
“We’ve worked very hard, I’m looking forward to have a successful, fundraising day.
Plenty of locals also brought along a plate to enjoy while playing bingo, which was hosted by Helen Troy.
Elaine said they would like to thank everyone who contributed to the cause.
“Lots of people have donated stuff and worked behind the scenes, like the raffles for firewood,” she said.
“A big thank you to the people for donating.”
Those who donated include the Wyangala Country Club, the Wyangala Fishing Club, the Wyangala Tennis Club, Wyangala Bowling Club, Wyangala Waters, Wyangala Bistro, Jamieson’s Joinery, French’s Store, Taregt, iSpy Beauty, Fitzroy St Physiotherapy, Hair Happiness and Bunnings.
