Whilst many would rush to throw out old bottles or containers, this weekend’s Collectors Fair will show once and for all that one man’s trash truly is another man’s treasure.

Now in it’s 49th year, the annual showcase of rare and unique collectibles will be held by the Cowra Gem and Collectors Club on Saturday, May 20 and Sunday, May 21 at the Cowra Showground Pavilion.

Joan Christians from the Cowra Gem and Collectors Club said this is the only show of it’s kind between Sydney and Victoria.

“At this moment, we have 70 bottle displays and 40 collectors displays, so 110 displays and a heck of a lot of sales stalls,” she said.

“Just as much interesting stuff to see on the sales stalls as the displays.”

Known as “the show not to be missed” by ABCR Auctions, Joan said there is something for everyone of any age at the Collectors Fair.

“If you are at all interested in older things of any kind or things out of the ordinary, this is the place to go,” she said.

With admission only $5, the Collectors Fair will prove to be the perfect way to spent the weekend.
