One very well attended fundraising event was a fashion parade held at the Cowra Services Club, showcasing clothes from Style for Women organised by Jill Boyd and former owner Carla Sparkes.
Tayla was named Charity Ambassador for the Festival.
Tayla had chosen the Cowra Cancer Action Group to be the recipient of more than $2700 she raised, which will be used to provide equipment for the Chemotherapy Unit at the Cowra Health Service.
The Cowra Cancer Action Group thank Tayla and her family for their support and ensuing donation.
Cowra Health Service Manager, Mrs Pauline Rowston, has asked the Cancer Action Group to assist with the refurbishment of three offices on the third floor of the facility.
These rooms will accommodate the two visiting Haematologists and Oncologist on their fortnightly visits to the Cowra Health Service.
The Cancer Action Group are also assisting with the refurbishment of the Palliative Care suite on the first floor.
The Cancer Action Group will again host a “Biggest Morning Tea” at the Cowra Services Club on Thursday, May 18, commencing at 10am.
Everyone welcome.
Admission is just $5 for a delicious morning tea provided by the Cowra Services Club.
The Cowra Cancer Action Group will also be hosting the Military Duntroon Band Concert at the Cowra Services Club at 2pm on Sunday, June 4 with the Band accompanied by the St Raphael’s Church Choir.
Admission is $10 pp includes afternoon tea.
