Cowra fire brigade was called to the scene shortly after 7am on Wednesday morning after a family member noticed flames coming from the ceiling in one of the bedrooms of the home.
Coles staff in Cowra, where one of the family members works, have already commenced an appeal to assist the family.
Cowra Fire Brigade captain Chris Murray said there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the fire.
Mr Murray said the brigade received a call to attend at 7.12am on Wednesday morning.
At the time the brigade was in Taragala Street, Cowra where a car had struck a tree which had fallen to the ground and taken out a power line.
Cowra Fire Brigade, police and ambulance all attended the Morongla fire where all three occupants were able to escape without injury.
Mr Murray said at least five Rural Fire Service vehicles also attended.
“As there are no hydrants out there we needed them to keep filling up and provide us with water to fight the fire,” Mr Murray said.
Despite their best efforts the home was completely destroyed.
“We’re assuming it was an electrical fire, most likely in a ceiling fan,” Mr Murray said.
“An occupant noticed it in a bedroom and flames in the ceiling above a wardrobe.
“There were a number of blackouts and brown outs in the area the previous evening, but it is not known if these and the fire were just coincidental,” Mr Murray said.
