Coach Mal Meninga announced a 20-man squad on Wednesday, which enters camp in Canberra on Monday, May 1.
Meninga noted that due to the small window of preparation, loyalty was shown to those who were part of the Four Nations tournament in 2016.
Boyd is one of 10 New South Welshmen to get the nod.
Australia and New Zealand lock horns on May 5 at GIO Stadium.
