PCYC showcases Junior Jack Attack
As part of their after school and school holiday program, the Cowra PCYC arranged to hold a Learn about Bowls day at the Cowra Bowling Club during the recent school holidays.

David Inglis from Bowls Australia was on hand to assist the youngsters and ran a successful Junior Jack Attack program, which is designed to showcase the art of lawn bowls to children from eight to 14 years.
Thirty-five youngsters attended and were treated to a barbecue at the completion of the one-and-a-half-hour session.
The club is interested developing the Junior Jack Attack program and through the schools in the districts.

BEATH MAKES IT No. 16
Gerard Beath again showed his class when he won the club’s major singles championships for the 16th time recently.
Beath accounted for fellow first grade skip Russell Nobes 31/18 in the semi-final, and took on John Penyu in the final last Sunday.
Whilst John played some great bowls himself, Gerard was in another realm, playing shots reminiscent of his representative days to run out a comfortable winner 31-6.
Sunday also saw the semi-finals of the minor singles where P Hamilton defeated A Anderson 31-15 and G Burrows defeated R Hambly 31-25.
The final of this competition is scheduled for next Sunday, April 30 commencing at 1pm.
First round games of the major pairs are also set down for this weekend, players as always are urged to check the noticeboard on a regular basis to see if they are boarded to play.
Pennants 2017
The Cowra second grade side have won their section, and now meet Parkes in the Zone four final to be played at Dubbo City Bowling Club on Saturday, May 27.
The winner of this game will then go to Wagga and represent Zone 4 in the state finals in August.
Super Saturday Big Bowls
The first of our Saturday mini tournaments is set down for this Saturday, April 29 commencing at 1pm.
The nomination sheet is on the men’s noticeboard and entries close today at 6pm.
Players can nominate as a team or a single entry.
Meanwhile, Leila Burns and Jen Davies have won this year’s ladies’ bowling club major pairs final.
