Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions on the Mid Western Highway for safety improvement work to be carried out one kilometre east of Westville Road.
The turnoff to Westville Road is located 16kms from Cowra on the Sydney Road, or Mid Western Highway.
The work is a part of the NSW Government’s Safer Roads Program which aims to reduce the number and severity of crashes.
During scheduled work, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction for safety improvement work.
The planned work includes extending safety barriers, removing hazards, widening shoulders, intersection improvements and resealing the road.
Work will be carried out between 7am and 6pm on weekdays and 8am and 1pm on Saturdays, weather permitting.
Traffic control and a reduced speed limit will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists along this section of the road.
Motorists may experience delays of up to five minutes due to the changed traffic conditions and should allow extra travel time.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
Roads and Maritime Services thanks the community for its patience while work is carried out.
