Despite missing the jump Falcon’s Fury skipped to victory in a sharp 29.94s, a week after almost breaking the track record in the heats in 29.56s.
Trained by Pamela and Paul Braddon, the Cowra greyhound has won 12 of 18 races earning just shy of $50,000 prizemoney for connections.
Backed into the $1.65 favourite on Monday at Kennerson Park, Faclon’s Fury misjudged the break but railed up to second at the first bend.
The son of Fabregas and Janderra’s Fury chased She’s Grand ($16) and showed superior speed on the straight to come over the top and clinch the feature race.
Better Call Sloy ($14.50) made up the minor placings.
Falcon’s Fury’s next assignment is the Ladbrokes Cyril Rowe Gold Cup (472m) at Bulli this Saturday night.
The greyhound will line up in box one in heat five of five about 9.38pm. The series winner will pocket $40,000 prizemoney.
