TAFE Western Cowra College will hold a special Open Day on Tuesday, January 24, which will provide potential students with the ideal opportunity to get an up close look at the exciting career options that are available in 2017.
College Team Leader Sylvia White said the Open Day would be held from 10am-5.30pm.
Ms White said the open day will allow potential students unprecedented access to TAFE Western’s facilities, teachers and support services.
“With a new year comes new opportunities and we’re looking forward to showcasing our world-class facilities, course offerings, employer partnerships and remote learning options, as well as focusing on student success stories and job opportunities,” Ms White said.
“As well as the college being open to the public for tours and information, we will have a stall down the main street which will be manned by administration and educational staff who can help with all enquiries.
“So if you finished school in 2016 and are looking for your next venture, would just like to improve your current skill set or want to explore a totally new and exciting career path, then come along - you never know what career you might find.”
Other features of the Cowra College Open Day include:
· Free Barbecue between 12-2pm.
· Tours of the college;
· Access to counsellors/career advisors on site;
TAFE Western Acting Institute Director Adam Bennett said the Open Day event was part of a state-wide TAFE NSW Open Week initiative, encouraging people to ‘Be Ambitious’.
