If you’re in this category you should consider turning up for the Cowra Triathlon Club’s first Friday night race of the new year this Friday.
The club races over a variety of distances to suit all fitness levels and ages from 6pm at the Cowra Aquatic Centre.
The club had planned to race last Friday night but club president Andrew Fisher made the call earlier in the week to cancel the evening with the temperature forecast to climb to 40 degrees on the day.
Conditions cooled off after a shower on Friday afternoon but it was still too hot to race with the day’s temperature exceeding the forecast maximum.
With just 32 degrees forecast for this Friday racing should proceed, as long as the current forecast of 20 to 40mm of rain is off track.
A decision will be announced on the club’s facebook page after 3.30pm on Friday if it is too wet.
