Students were given the opportunity to practice 3D printing and Coding thanks to the Cowra-Cabonne Science hub, Inspiring Australia and the Corridor project.
The students spent Tuesday learning the process and equipment that’s involved with 3D printing thanks to Modfab the first 3D Printing Technology business in Australia to look at the needs of educators from primary school through to TAFE.
The students then spent Wednesday practicing their Coding skills thanks to Code-Rangers.
Modfab director, Ben Roberts, said they tried to use the classes to show how the skills learnt on the day would be wanted skills by employers in the future.
“We try to show the real world applications (of 3D printing) are and try to promote that side of it,” he said.
“Understanding these machines and working with them is going to be a wanted skill by employers”.
