In reply to Western Australia’s 207, Hughes dominated a 172-run partnership with fellow opener Ed Cowan (66) setting up NSW’s successful run chase.
The result booked the Blues’ place in Friday’s elimination final against Victoria with the winner progressing to the decider against Queensland this Sunday.
This competition, Hughes has compiled innings of 32, 73, 13, 27, 122 and 96 for a total of 363 runs at 60.50.
Victorian Cameron White is the only player to achieve more runs, scoring an impressive 453 runs in six innings.
Team-mate Doug Bollinger has been the side’s top wicket taker, picking up 12 scalps in six matches.
Hughes’ Blues meet Victoria at Drummoyne Oval in Sydney.
