Powderly’s crafty off-spinners returned figures of 6-33, with Nick Hall (1-7), Duncan Cameron (1-15), Hagon Williams (1-21) and Josh Platt (1-10) sharing the remaining four wickets.
Earlier, Zac Williams piloted the Blues to their defendable total scoring 68 at the top of the order.
His opening partner Jonte Powderly reached 22 before being caught and, along with Hagon Williams (15), were the other batsmen to score double figures.
While doing well to keep the Blues to 158, Valleys conceded 10 wickets for 87.
