The Bo & Ree Fashion Show will be held on Saturday, September 24 from 5pm till 8pm at the Ilfracombe & Co. Cafe to support and raise awareness for the Cowra Breast Cancer Support Group.
Jill Eyeington from Rourke & Henry said the funds raised on the night will go towards the Service Suite at the Cowra Hospital.
“It promises to be a fun afternoon with fashion by Bo & Ree Boutique, Ilfracombe & Co 's, complimentary wine on arrival, a raffle and a lucky door prize,” Jill said.
“We as a group just wanted to give something back to the community.
“It’s our local hospital, our local community, it can make that suite more comfortable.”
Jill says the idea for a fashion show came about after being approached by Colleens Mastectomy Connections, a Canberra-based business which specialises in garments for women who have had mastectomies.
She said it was a chance to create more awareness around breast cancer.
“It touches us all, everyone knows someone affected by cancer,” Jill said.
“It doesn’t pick an choose.
“It was more for us to create awareness and make a nice afternoon for women.”
Jill said local businesses have really gotten behind the cause and that it wouldn’t be possible without them, in particular Lot 31, Ambiance Hair, who will be doing the models’ hair on the night and Eye Spy Beauty, who will be doing makeup.
“Local businesses have gotten on board,” Jill said.
“They have been very generous in their donations for the event.
“It’s creating awareness in the local community, the people and businesses who donate are constantly supporting schools, the library.
“We live in a very generous community and we are grateful for the support.”
She said without the hard work and dedication of Libby Bryant and the team at Ilfracombe & Co, none of this would be possible.
“She was happy to do the parade for us, she’s certainly worked hard,” she said.
“It’s a great effort.”
Aside from the delicious canapés and champagne available on the evening, guests will also be treated to a performance by our own local artist Jamie Hibberson.
Tickets are available now at Rourke & Henry and Bo & Ree Boutique in the Ilfracombe & Co Cafe.
Tickets are $25 each and proceeds go to the Cowra Breast Cancer Support Group.
If you haven’t bought your ticket yet, make sure you head down to Rourke & Henry or Bo & Ree today to secure your spot.
Jill says it will be an afternoon not to be missed.
“It’s a fashion show with a purpose,” she said.
