The Morongla Show hay bale art continues with a spectacular Birthday Cake arising on the roadside last week. The Birthday Cake Hay Bale celebrates 97 years of the Morongla Show and is located 8km out on the Boorowa Road.

Speaking of cakes, a very contended section of the Show is the Man Made Chocolate Cake.

“We encourage all men from Cowra, Morongla and surrounds to rise to the challenge. Young and old, there are no age barriers,” Marlee Langfield, Morongla Show Publicity Officer said.

Last year, the cakes were auctioned off and raised over $350 for Legacy.

This year, funds will go to Parkinson’s Support Group in Cowra.

Entrants must ring 0429 453 214 before 9pm on October 2 to enter and all cakes must be delivered to the Morongla Hall between 7-9am on Monday, October 3. After the cakes are judged, they will be auctioned.
