Fair weather for fairways
The weather derailed Ladies Golf last Wednesday, August with the course closed for competition on that day due to all the heavy rain.

This did have it’s up side however, as the result is the colour.
The fairways look magnificently green but heavy going in the rough and edges.
The greens have some sand still present with the coring.
This tested the player’s skills and reading the line especially as it was also a putting competition in the 18 Hole Stroke event sponsored by Cowra Lady Golfers.
Winner on the Day
First was Jan Luce with a creditable Nett 76.
Second place was taken by Jenny Dresser with a Nett 78.
And third was Trish Moerkerken Nett 79 on a count-back from Lorraine Stubbing Nett 79.
Winner of the NSW Medal round was
Division1: Jenny Dresser 78 Nett.
Division 2: Jan Luce 76 Nett.
Division 3: Lorraine Stubbing 79 Nett. The Putting competition was won by Lorraine Stubbing with 31 putts.
Nearest to the Fagan fifth green and Jenaul Enterprises seventh green was Holly Picker and Coogee Kelpie 14th green was Jenny Dresser.
Ball competition went to Jan Luce 76, Jenny Dresser 78, Trish Moerkerken 79 and Lorraine Stubbing 79.
Annette Sutherland was the lucky winner of the raffle.
Next week is the start of the first round of the Mrs. Ben Jones which is a 18 Holes Par event, also Oliver point score and trophies by Cowra Lady Golfers.
The Mrs. Ben Jones trophy will be sponsored by Carole Doyle on completion of the second round.
