Upper Lachlan Bushwalkers have managed a few walks through August, including a walk down Cherry Creek in Conimbla NP, shortened a little by the volume of water and rocky terrain just before the bend to the gorge. Undeterred, we walked up to view the spectacle from above.

Most recently we walked all over Australia in Burrendong Arboretum, in full bloom and green, a place well worth a visit.
The variety and originality of the plants, some rare, from all over Australia includes many Western Australian large-flowering mallee, wattles from every part of this wide green land, and a cool fern gully for the coming hot days and for the Wollemi pine.
Meeting
Our next meeting is next week, Tuesday, September 6 at 7:30 at the Services Club.
If you cannot get to the meeting, then request walks from someone you know is involved, as we hope then to fill a Spring program right up to our Christmas party, not forgetting the fully-booked Leura weekend of course.
Walks very soon to make the most of a glorious Spring.
Also already planned is Sunday, September 4 to Federal Falls and more at Canobolas, led by Geoff.
September 11 will now be in Nangar, leader Jan Ware.
September 18 is our chance to join one of Grenfell's 150th celebrations to walk to Brundah Falls with Weddin Wanderers.
Jan Nilsen needs to let them know a week before, with an earlier start leaving Cowra Visitor Centre at 7:45 and with the option of a full day with Weddins orchids.
Welcome
More and more people are joining walks, returning, and heading off on their own.
Walking in a group is safer and many eyes will see different surprises. Non-members are welcome on three walks as guests of ULB before joining.
If you have any questions regarding any Club activities please feel free to contact one of our Committee members, through someone you know, perhaps in this photo.
Why?
“Go outside and walk a bit, long enough to take in and record new surroundings. Enjoy the best-kept secret around - the ordinary, everyday landscape that touches any explorer with magic.” - John R. Stilgoe.
