On Tuesday, July 21, at 5am a business on Kendall Street was broken into, police attended and secured the scene. Following information gathered, later in the day a 26 year-old man was interviewed by police and charged with the break and enter at the business and a number of other break ins around Cowra.

The man was refused bail until September when he will appear before Cowra Local Court.
Break and enter
On Sunday, July 24, a break and enter was reported at a Wollowra Street residence. Unknown persons have gained access through the rear door by kicking it in.
Damage to property was caused and an Xbox was stolen.
Low range PCA
On Sunday, July 24 a 64 year-old man was detected with a low range PCA after his vehicle was stopped at an RBT site in Cowra.
High range PCA
On Monday, July 25, Police were patrolling Liverpool Street when a vehicle came to their attention due to the nature of its driving. The 53 year-old male driver was subjected to a road side breath test which returned a positive reading. The man was returned to Cowra police station for a secondary breath test which returned a high range PCA.
The man’s license was automatically suspended and he will appear before Cowra Local Court at a later date.
Stolen number plate
At 1.45pm on Monday, July 25, police report the front number plate from a vehicle was stolen while it was parked in the Target car park.
Police are noticing a trend in thefts of this kind with other number plates around the region being stolen, in areas like Lithgow, Bathurst and Orange. Police are unsure as to the reason behind the thefts at this point, but would encourage the public to report the theft of license plates.
Break and enter
Police report a break and enter at a residence on Waugoola Street at 1am Monday, July 25. A 77 year-old woman was at home when she was awoken by the sound of breaking glass. The woman called triple-0 and police attended immediately to find unknown persons had smashed a rear glass window and pushed it open and that the woman’s handbag had been stolen.
