The fire started just before midday near Beecher's Wool on the Young.
Firies attended the scene.
Traffic has been stopped in both directions with vehicles being diverted to surrounding streets.
The vehicle been reduced to shell and firefighters are still attempting to extinguish the flames.
The cause of the fire is still unknown and there are no reported injuries.
