Drops in scout numbers and a lack of willing parent volunteers to fill roles along with financial commitment struggles have meant the group will be closing and having there last meeting on February 8.
Group leader Richard Bryant said the decision to close was not an easy one.
"The hall costs a bit to maintain and insure the low numbers makes it hard to raise the funds needed for maintenance and insurance".
"That cost is the same if we have five kids or 48 kids, the more we have the less the cost burden on parents is".
In the last year the Scouts group have done a range of activities for the children involved and helped out with key services in the community.
The group participated in last year's ANZAC day march, raised the flag at the recent Australia Day ceremonies at the Civic Centre, hiked through the Conimbla National Park, participated in the Great Volcanic Mountain Challenge among other activities.
Though all may not be lost Mr Bryant said that the group may be able to continue.
"What we need at a minimum would be three leaders in Cubs as well as Scouts with one female leader in both groups, another group leader person and a set of seven more committee members".
"Once we have those people we need to raise $3000 before the end of the term, around March to April".
Mr Bryant said if people want to commit themselves to helping keep the Scouts group around they can contact him on 0427002905.
