For seventy years, Toby sounded the bugle in every single Anzac Day march.
He started his town band career at the tender age of 11-and-a-half, back in 1942, playing with the junior band.
Within two years, he had graduated to the senior band, and by 1958, was appointed bandmaster.
He played most brass instruments, and was well known for his bugling.
He participated in more Anzac Day marches than many veterans, rain, hail or shine.
Mr McLeish was also dedicated to the Cowra Bowling Club/Imperial Hotel Cricket Clubs as well as the Cowra Services Club.
His funeral will be held on Friday, August 7, at St Raphael's Church at 2pm.
